De oorlogsspelletjes van Bush en Blair

Bush en Blair gedragen zich als spelende schooljongens. Maar ze spelen wel met vuur, met het geld van de mensen en met vele mensenlevens...

Bush trekt de hele wereldeconomie scheef en naar beneden. Zijn onbekwaamheid om het Amerikaanse volk naar gezondheid, veiligheid en voorspoed te leiden, camoufleert hij achter spektakel met gespierde taal en bommen en granaten. Daarvoor zoekt hij één na één andere min of meer weerloze slachtoffers op de wereldkaart, maar liefst wel daar op de kaart, waar toevallig petroleum zit. Dat is in één moeite meegenomen, en wie weet, indien het lukt om met geweld en veel geld de regimes daar zo klein en mak te krijgen dat zij zijn claim op hun olie niet meer kunnen weigeren, .. ja dan wordt toch de hele rekening daarmee vereffend...

Toevallig ligt zijn operatieterrein aan de Zuid-Oost flank van Europa, en aan het Zuid-Westen van Rusland. Politiek bekeken dus komt het erop aan de mogelijke invloedsfeer van Europa en Rusland naar het zuiden af te grendelen, zeker indien die twee in de toekomst zich nog zouden aaneen sluiten ook. Met zo'n virtueel argument kan Bush China dan ook weer wat beïnvloeden in zijn stemming op de Veiligheidsraad.

Afghanistan ligt intussen al aan zijn voeten, die slag is binnen, de wereldopinie heeft zijn 'nobele motieven om de as van het kwaad te verdelgen' mooi geslikt, dus dat is binnenkort dik in orde voor die oliepijpleiding. Nu liefst ook nog wat chaos in Irak veroorzaken, eerst weer wat stoken, de wereld zal de nobele motieven misschien nog een tweede keer slikken, en dan in de zelf gemaakte brokstukken graaien en zorgen dat je de eerste bij de oliekranen bent. Meer moet dat niet zijn, meneer.

Intussen kan je nog meer goedkope (want in eigen beheer elders geroofbouwde) olie naar de VS slepen en verbranden en er de lucht mee vervuilen. Dat de prijzen voor de anderen omhoog gaan kan alleen maar de concurrentie nog wat vergemakkelijken. Als Europa of Rusland geen claim kan leggen op de olievelden aan de Zuid flank (daar waar Bush toevallig 'orde op zaken' wil stellen) en Amerika kan dat wel, welja dan is vooral Europa toch weer mooi wat afhankelijker gemaakt, niet?

De valse Britten spelen dit spelletje graag mee, want eigenlijk willen ze nog een tijdje hun tanende glorietijd van wereldmacht rekken liever dan in een Europees continentaal verband te stappen. Bovendien hebben ze hun Noordzee-olie, en rekenen ze erop om samen met de Amerikanen als eerste bij de kranen van Irak te geraken.

Misschien gaan die twee schooljongens als het zover is nog wel samen ruzieën om de buit. Op dat moment zal het weer zowel voor de één als voor de ander van belang zijn om de Europese gunst binnen te halen.

Europa zou best nu reeds op voorhand de Britten eens en voor altijd voor de duidelijke keuze stellen: ofwel zijn jullie mét Europa, ofwel tegen. Als jullie niet met Europa zijn, dan zijn jullie tegen. Dan zijn al jullie' consultants' en adviseurs hier op het continent verdacht en niet meer welkom. Dan is jullie deelname in het Echelon afluistercomplex dat jullie wel met de Amerikanen delen, maar niet met Europa, een duidelijk teken van jullie onbetrouwbaarheid en mogelijk slechte bedoelingen ten overstaan van ons Europeanen van het continent. En anders is jullie eigengereid optreden in het Midden-Oosten een zware veroordeling en terechtwijzing waard. Je kan niet van twee walletjes blijven eten, Europees subsidiegeld en onderzoeksfondsen opstrijken en toch overal stokken in de wielen steken van elk degelijk Europees beleid.

Bush lies says Blix

He makes use of all studied rhetoric tricks to get the World under hypnosis. His poisonous splitted tongue seems able to twist the truth a hundred and eighty degrees, so that he can make his audience believe that white is black and black is white.

According Hans Blickx, chairman of the Iraq Arms Inspectors, Bush has told the World a few public lies without any shame. For instance there is no ground to make the World believe that there would be any stronger connection between Iraq and Al Qaeda than with any other country, well on the contrary. So this continuous attempt to create that nonexistent association in the minds of people is already very corrupt.

A second hoax originated from the Bush administration is the phantasm that Saddam would have turned spies into scientific specialists, taking their places when interviews with the Inspectors are done. This according to Hans Blickx is again an enormous lie of Bush's and it is highly remarkable that a thruth of Bush, representing one single UN member, and a one hundred and eighty degrees opposite truth of the Chief Arms Inspector, representing the UN itself as a whole, can stand side by side for so long.

Obviously the propaganda war of the US continues to believe it can win the World without collateral damage.
The latest stunt of Blair in the margin of Bush's endeavours to stir the public attention, convincing a few European leaders to allow their names under a some advertisements in Anglo-saxon newspapers stating they belong to 'the willing' as to the war logic of the US, is another indication of this propaganda war. With ease Europe could advertise with even more names undersigned of the 'non-willing'. But of course Europe is older and wiser than that and does not enter into such short sighted propaganda game. That pleasure is entirely left to a puberal prime-minister playing world president, who seems not quite sure even about whether his Island is at the right side of the ocean or not.

This whole game is such a shame for humanity in the end. But humanity will learn from it in the end also of course, when it's too late again, and at the potential cost of tenthousands of anonymous silent victims in an antique world capital, whose individual tragedies will NOT be smeared out one by one on emo-TV by commercial biased broadcasting stations...

Belgium knows best

The Belgians were the bravest amongst the Gauls already in front of Julius Caesar long before the discovery of America, and they are no less brave today in taking position in front of another world conquerer, the US.

There is no shame in refusing to play a shamefull death-game unworthy of human civilisation. Ringing the bell is a civil duty in the current world context. Someone has to do it. They don't have to shoot at us for that.

Belgium, France and Germany, the good old and wise Europe, are not naïve as they break the NATO procedure silence. They know very well that the US wants to misuse NATO to gain complicity of the world for their planned looting and plundering campaign. We know that the US is at the point of putting Turquy in danger, not Iraq, and that the use of NATO 'defense' is only a substitute for our active participation in their dirty wargame. We know that the NATO defense support again might hardly be used to protect Turquy, but rather to protect the American protectorat Israël, with their AWACSes, Patriots and personel, once the US pulled the trigger.

Why should we be ashamed to see and know all this and then refuse to the US to even start this dirty game.
Why should WE be ashamed that NATO had it's first upper-cut now after the Cold War? It's the US that caused this to happen by pushing Europe and the whole world too far to conspire under force.

What is so small about Belgium in this? A country larger than Israël and hosting the Capital of Europe, also hosting the consciousness of Europe as of old, having become wise on the crossroad of pushing and clashing powers. Are the people of smaller size here relative to the boundary size? Are their brains lighter than those living in a big country? We are no different at all. We have only a better view here on the crossroad. And we know who you are...

Some businessmen think the Belgian refusal to NATO implication in an aggressive war will have an adverse effect for their business. By no means! At least they know now where Belgium is in the States. Further don't forget that the economy in the US is in bad shape, and that their businessmen know that Bush's interest in warfare rather than wellfare is the cause. So they are also against that warmongering game, like most of the population of the US is.

Finally what's wrong with making use of a NATO procedure? That procedure must have been put there for some reason. If we hear in what terms warvultures like Rumsfeld fulminate on our disagreement, then we can well imagine why.
The damage done to NATO's credibility by his reactions is done and it will not be forgotten. But it's entirely at the cost of those who started this dirty wargame in the first place...

But no sweat, in Europe we can recover our own NATO efforts when it falls appart like the Warshau Pact did, we can rearrange them easily into a similar defense organisation that just fits its purpose: defending our own Europe itself ourselves with our same own means, without having to ask the other side of the ocean how and when.

Of course they could still ask us, when needed. And we will be able to refuse if we think their demand is manipulated and unjust, just the same, or assist them if it is sincere.

Transatlantic logic leaks (an oil leak?)

Remember what came out of the White House after the Al Qaeda attacks of the Twin Towers. 'Osama Bin Laden was the big evil doer and he was going to be smoked out his caves'. Then after some months a blind war against poor Afghanistan was begun, bombing an already destroyed country.

Then during the heat of the fire suddenly in a sneaky way also the name of Saddam was thrown into the media. And later it was repeated more and more often, as if a new drum had to be started. Public opinion was quite puzzled and so were European and other political leaders: the whole West stood behind the US for its 'war against terror', but now that he had his support of his 'Allies', the leader of that war made a sudden side jump towards a country that was clearly not involved in this matter.

When questions about this sudden twist started to rise, the answer came: 'He has to allow arms inspectors, he is not following the UN resolutions'.

Arms inspectors were voted for and UN resolution 1441 was agreed. Arms inspectors went and inspected.
Now the White House's new sound was: 'Saddam is not allowing them enough inspecting'. So more inspections followed, and more openness from Iraq. Finally the report, demanded for so greedily by the US, was released and even high-jacked for a night by that one UN member, the US. And instead of admitting that their claim had been fullfilled the US started new claims, and new claims, and again other claims...

Today they are claiming even a new resolution, allowing them to officially end their long cherished wargame. BUT if no resolution is voted, then they will play alone. ???

What is this logic? It leaks like an old oil tanker:

- we want Saddam to allow new inspections.
- we want Saddam to disarm of mass destruction weapons.
- we want a regime change in Iraq.
- we want Saddam to leave his country
- we want a new UN resolution allowing us to attack Saddam because he is not committing to the UN resolution.
- we will attack Saddam even if no new UN resolution is voted.
- ???

Conclusion: one UN member is willing to attack another UN member, because that other UN member is not committing to the UN resolutions, reflecting International Right. The attacking UN member will therefore dismiss International Right. - ???

If they do not intend to follow the UN resolutions, then why blaming Iraq not to do so? Why bother about Iraq at all, if the UN is not important?
So the US are threatening and blackmailing the UN to do themselves exactly that what they blame Iraq to be doing: not following the UN prescriptions.
Is this diplomatic madness? Or is it just the dreadful end of the last super power's credibility and the beginning of a real new World order of nations standing for themselves?

But in both cases: has the White House been high-jacked by a handfull of western fundi's? Or is it just being ruled by... the Maf.

USA, who gave you the right to?

Not only the subsequent objectives (excuses) that were uttered byb the US before the beginning of their war, were utterly contradictory. The act as such is most contradictory itself:
In the name of enforcing resolution 1441, the US started their war in the middle of the UN inspections still going on. It was obvious that these inspections had begun to bear their fruits and would ultimately lead to the peacefull declaration and destruction of mass weapons. Yet Bush could not hold his finger from the trigger. And started to 'enforce' things (read violate international law).

But who asked him to do so in the first place? Did our UNO ask him for that. Not at all. The UNO followed the path of Hans Blix and of almost all of us.

Even IF our UNO would have come to a conclusion that now indeed disarmament had to be enforced, then it would have clearly decided so, and occasionally would have asked the US to assist in alliance. But our UNO did not judge it to be necessary to do so, as its peaceful action was successfully on its way now.

Conclusion: one single UNO member, indeed the one with the greatest military force, took off WITHOUT A MANDATE.

Bush took the right in his own hands, out of the hands of our democratic UNO that even promised him to veto against his proposal for violence, if he would have dared to put it to the vote.

What the US are doing in Iraq is completely out of order, out of international law, out of proportion, out of their mind. It is unnecessary, most harmful to human civilisation, a loss of money, it is useless. And the UNO did not ask them to. Their behaviour is totally out of place in this century (also litterally).

And what now, leaders of the world?

So the American vultures have dropped on a foreign country once more in history. Destruction, looting and killing has been exported once more, their trade mark. They have no right to do this, but no brains to understand why not. They have violated all human laws, human culture itself has been denied its age-old value.
These men are more than dangerous to the rest of humanity, for ages to come if the sane world does not let them down at once. Now the whole world is in fear. Other nations fear that if they stand up for real human values, they might get this mad war machine over them as well.

But fear is a bad advisor. People should not listen to the fearmongers who like to make people believe that their country might be next now to be invaded and destroyed and sold out. Not now that the invaders are making up the bill of their reckless acts, and facing the costs, they can hardly overcome alone...

They simply cannot afford a second war like this, especially not if rebuilding is at their own cost, as was their own initiative to start this mad campaign alone. There simply will not be enough bombs left to restart such a campaign.

And of course they know that, that's why they try now to commit the world via all kinds of constructions of participation to spend resources that indirectly would flow back into the pot from where the guns and bombs are paid.

It is high time that the world takes a stand now against this global fraud. In fact the main countries and continents should drop the UNO and form a new United Nations Organistation, one without these warmongers and let them stand outside with the reflection of the catastrophy they have caused.

There really is no reason whatsoever for the other countries of the world to be afraid for their own destiny. The USA has tremendously weakened itself by what it did. All that money that is gone, all those soldiers that are gone, all the equipment that has gone and for which not enough taxes will be collected in the years to come to replace them and yet pay back the tremendous national US debt also...

There are mainly good at keeping up appearances (especially through the media they own), but inside is great misery.

The American vultures declared themselves sole responsible to start this useless war, and now they are sole responsible to stop it, and to clean up the mess they have caused.

Bedrijfsleiders en managers voor vrede, tegen de Amerikaans-Britse inval in Irak

Petitie, (voorlopig) ondertekend door een twintigtal Belgische bedrijfsleiders en managers, tegen de Amerikaans/Britse inval in Irak.

Wij, Belgische bedrijfsleiders en managers, zijn tegen de Amerikaans/Britse inval in Irak. Niet enkel omdat deze handelswijze een ernstige inbreuk is op het internationaal recht, maar ook omdat oorlog haaks staat op de waarden waar wij voor staan: dialoog, vreedzame oplossing van conflicten, respect voor de nationale soevereiniteit van staten en democratie. De overgrote meerderheid van de Europese publieke opinie is tegenstander van deze Amerikaans-Britse militaire actie in Irak en betreurt het nodeloze lijden van de Irakese bevolking (o.m. door het gebruik van de verwerpelijke fragmentatiebommen). Ook in de VS is ruim 30 procent van de bevolking tegen deze oorlog gekant. Wij vinden dat de Verenigde Staten en Groot-Brittannië de brede veroordeling van hun inval in Irak niet naast zich mogen neerleggen en de heropbouw van het land aan de Verenigde Naties moeten overlaten, i.s.m. met de humanitaire organisaties.

Wij verzetten ons tegen de brutale regimes in Irak en elders, maar ook tegen de nieuwe Amerikaanse doctrine van 'preventieve oorlog'. Net zo min als Irak het recht had om Koeweit binnen te vallen in 1990, hebben de Verenigde Staten noch enig ander land het recht om vandaag Irak (of een ander land) aan te vallen. Onze veroordeling van de Amerikaans-Britse inval betekent uiteraard niet dat wij enige sympathie hebben voor het voormalige dictatoriale Iraakse regime. Maar vandaag zijn de militair-politieke opvattingen van de Bush-regering (o.a. verwoord in de rapporten 'The Project for the New American Century' en 'Rebuilding America's Defenses'), diens militaire macht en aanvalsoorlog in Irak een veel grotere bedreiging voor het welzijn en de vrede in de wereld dan Saddam ooit was.

Wij zijn voorstanders van een wereld waarvan de politieke, economische en sociale instellingen solidariteit koesteren, gerechtigheid promoten, participatie maximaliseren, diversiteit vieren en daadwerkelijke democratie aanmoedigen. Een wereld waarin het woord het haalt van de wapens.

Aan de Belgische premier Guy Verhofstadt, aan de Belgische minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Louis Michel en aan alle andere Belgische politieke verantwoordelijken, verzoeken wij met aandrang om op het internationale forum de Belgische verwerping van de inval in Irak onverminderd aan te houden en te eisen dat, na de val van het regime, de Verenigde Naties en de humanitaire hulporganisaties een centrale rol zullen spelen in de wederopbouw van het land. Dit betekent tevens dat de Amerikaans-Britse troepen zo snel mogelijk Irak en het Midden-Oosten dienen te verlaten. Ook dringen we bij alle bevoegde nationale maar ook internationale instanties aan dat de hulpoperaties onafhankelijk gebeuren, zonder politieke, religieuze of andere overwegingen of discriminaties, en zonder ondergeschikt te zijn aan militaire of politieke belangen.

En de wapentransporten?

Zijn de directeurs en de managers ook tegen de even illegale wapentransporten, of is hun protest even verbaal en dus inhoudsloos als dat van de Belgische regering en Agalev en de SPA?

Duidelijk signaal

Dit is alvast een duidelijk signaal vanwege een verantwoordelijke groep in de samenleving. Het was al langer nodig dat ons Belgisch manager corps de Amerikaanse bijbedoelingen doorzag. Zij zijn ons niet werkelijk gunstig gezind, ondanks hun brede smile aan de oppervlakte.

Laten we niet vergeten dat zij ons onder meer L&H hebben afgenomen (met als start een zwartmaakartikel in Wallstreet Journal met gegevens die een normaal journalist niet kan hebben, over zaken die andere bedrijven ook deden, niet in het minst Amerikaanse). Wantrouw dus alle engelstalige 'consultants', die uw bedrijf laten betalen om het dan zelf te bespioneren. Al deze consultants zijn driekwart van hun tijd bezig met vragen stellen.

Zij zijn ook Europa niet werkelijk gunstig gezind. Bewijs hun schaamteloze afluisterpraktijken onder meer via Echelon (nota bene in Groot-Brittanië).

En tenslotte deze oorlog, het is niet allen maar een vendetta tussen de families Bush en Hoessein, het gaat niet alleen om de oliecontrole, maar het is een zet tegen eventueel toekomstige aanspraken van respectievelijk Europa, Rusland en China om zich tot grootmachten te profileren. Door de handelsroutes tussen deze drie te controleren, door de energieprijzen kunstmatig hoog te houden (en laag binnen de VS) blijft de voortdurende structurele concurrentievervalsing tussen VS en Europa, Rusland en China gegarandeerd.

Wij hebben niet de gelegenheid gehad voor Bush te kiezen, dan zouden we zeker hebben tegengestemd, waarom zouden wij dan naar zo'n buitenlandse president moeten luisteren? Democratie heeft zo zijn grenzen. This is not my president.

Multiglobalism

Many Americans of the US obviously are still struggling with their identity crisis. Like adolescents they merely succeed in appreciating themselves only as opposed to the others, as a negation of the others.

You have to pass beyond this attitude to real adulthood, by accepting that you have the right to be just as the others have the same right, and by recognising that, also as a nation, you have to live with all those other nations, even if you don't like them all, just like some may not like you.

They really are not better than you are, and you really are not better than they are.

The whole is more than the collection of the parts. The parts of the UN are the individual nations, small or large in surface, large or small in spirit, in merit, in influence, positive or negative, constructive to the world and to human mankind or the reverse.

The wholeness of the World is where your true and legitimate place is, and where your contribution to durable human evolution can be felt.

If you think, that your country, your nation, your flag is on the top of the world, you are right. The world is a globe, you see. So on whatever place on earth you are, it is the top of the world.

The opposite tendency of separatism is whole world consciousness. If your World consciousness is highly evolved, then you are amongst those who know and feel: everyone is on top of the World, every nation, every country, every race. They all contribute in their own accord, just like you, to the evolution of mankind, from whatever place, for whatever aspect of multi-fashioned life on earth.

As a true globalist you must be able to see the multidimensional aspects that contribute to human life. The aspects that you and your country can contribute to that are only a few of what is contributed from all parts of the world, now and in the past, that you inherited. Honour the UN flag and you are a true globalist in your own right.

NATO nonsens

Het is nonsens dat een NATO lidstaat, de VS, dreigt met het verplaatsen van de locatie uit Brussel vanwege de Belgische genocide wet.

1. NATO locatie heeft niets te maken met genocidewetten.
2. En als dat al zo zou zijn, dan heeft iedereen die zich goed weet te gedragen in het buitenland niets te vrezen. Wie hard roep maakt zich dus alvast verdacht.
3. Het is niet aan de VS om over die locatie te beslissen.
4. Er is al een overeenkomst daterend uit 1951 met alle lidstaten van de NATO die stelt dat hun vertegenwoordigers immuniteit genieten in België om naar het NATO gebouw te komen. De Amerikanen schijnen slecht in het onthouden van gesloten verdragen.
5. De VS wil graag iets laten blinken in de ogen van Polen. De suggestie van cadeaus aan hen is bedoeld ze zo veel mogelijk aan de zijde van de VS te krijgen om de EU voor te zijn op het moment van toetreding.
   Dit past in een klaarblijkelijke nieuwe strategie van de VS om een gordel te leggen rond de Europese Unie. De noordelijke landen hebben ze al lang beïnvloed, het westen, Groot-Brittanië, is altijd al de slippendrager van Washington geweest, het zuiden met name Spanje en Italië is met de hulp van de Engelsen ook al ruim bewerkt. En nu is het oosten aan de beurt, de potentiële nieuwe lidstaten van de Europese Unie.
6. Dit soort gedrag is dat van de oude VS. Dat is de VS van de 20ste eeuw, die nog altijd denkt in termen van angst, overheersing, wapens en geweld. De nieuwe VS, die van de 21ste eeuw is nog niet aan de oppervlakte getreden, al zijn er hoopgevende signalen. Als de nieuwe VS er eenmaal is, dan zal zij gedogen dat de oude NATO zoals het Warschau pakt wordt ontbonden, en dat in de plaats een sterke betrouwbare Europese vredesmacht zal zijn ingesteld in het nieuwe Europa, die even goed of beter de functie van de NATO zal overnemen.
   Zelfs als de NATO dan uit Brussel zou verhuisd zijn, dan zal Brussel nog altijd een vitaal commandocentrum blijven.
7. Belgische en Europese politici doen er goed aan zich maar niet te laten opjutten door Amerikaanse steekspelletjes, en vooral niet op goedkope eisen in te gaan, want zodra de VS een vingerkootje te pakken hebben, vragen ze een vinger, en als die gegeven is weer een hand, en dan een arm. In de stijl van een Sharon aan de Palestijnen zullen ze altijd proberen als opperste eisen stellende partij over te komen, en telkens wanneer er ee signaal van toegeving komt, die eisen een schepje verhogen, enkel met de bedoeling afhankelijkheid te kweken, nooit om ze in te willigen...

Beoogde chaos in Irak gerealiseerd

De huidige chaos in Irak, was de gewilde chaos van de initiatiefnemers van de onwettige oorlog tegen Irak.

Achter het scherm van de oorlog, en nog beter achter het scherm van de gewilde en onderhouden chaos, kan een kleine belangengroep met een steunbasis in het Witte Huis ongemerkt voortgaan met het plunderen van het buitenland en van zijn grondstoffen.

Dat intussen bijna dagelijks één of meer van hun dienstdoende VS onderdanen gedood of verwond worden kan hen in feite geen zier schelen, en nog minder indien het om Iraakse burgers gaat. Die worden niet eens geteld...

Dezelfde belangengroep, met vertegenwoordigers en handlangers in Irak nu ook, heeft er alle belang bij dat de beoogde chaos aanhoudt en zelfs toeneemt en bij wijlen culmineert.

Het eens zo bloeiende land wordt terug naar het stenen tijdperk gevoerd zoals ook met Palestina gebeurt. Kwestie van zelf hoger lijken te staan door de andere beschaving terneer te drukken.

Door irrationele aanslagen die terreur en twijfel zaaien, bovenop de aangehouden kunstmatige schaarste aan water, electriciteit, geneesmiddelen en voedsel, wil deze belangengroep de Irakese bevolking stil krijgen, murw maken en gewillig om tenslotte dan maar om het even welk vreemd opgelegd bestuur te aanvaarden.

En ook de wereldopinie hoopt men op die gruwelijke manier murw te krijgen met hetzelfde doel.

Eén detail wordt daarbij over het hoofd gezien: You can't fool all the people all the time...
